DinnerOn the 14th of March, the 2008 Welcome Dinner was held at Hotel SoHo in Hobart. This event is really designed to welcome in the new academic year and provide a chance for all RUSTICA members to get together, meet each other and socialize. 119 RUSTICA members managed to set the record for the biggest ever welcome dinner. This was also the first time that Hotel SoHo was used as the venue and the staff certainly turned it on for us. The meal was excellent with a very diverse menu catering for all tastes. The evening was very informal with a very relaxed atmosphere making it easy to get to know other RUSTICA members. All reports from attendees were very positive and a good time appeared to be had by all. Hotel SoHo did such a fine job they will almost certainly be catering for the RUSTICA crowd again. If you didn’t attend this year, make sure you mark the date in your calendarfor next year!
